The president of the convention was George Washington. 55 delegates attended the convention.The purpose for the Constitutional Conventionwas to discuss the laws on voting/representation and taxing.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Large states vs Small states</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The issue with the plans(Virginia and New Jersey) is they favored either all small or all larger states. The New Jersey plan emphasized that all states are equal, so they should all get equal amount of representatives. The Virginia plan wanted all states' representation to be based of population. To try and come together, delegates agreed on the Great Compromise( two hosues in Congress). The Senate and the House of Rep.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The north and south couldn't agree on how slaves should be represented in the population. The south's plan was to count slaves as part of the population for representation but not for taxes. The north's plan was to count the slaves for taxes but not representation. The 3/5 compromise allowed the southern states to count 3/5 of slaves for represenation and taxes.</div>]]></description>
