         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1802 Ohio began with a Constitution that only had 6,000 words. In 1851, Ohio made a second constitution. Which ended up being 50 percent longer. Today the 1851 Constitution now contains more than 50,000 words. Making it the 10th longest state constitution in the United States. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first Constitution in 1802, only had eight articles, 106 sections, and 6,265 words. Then came along 1851 with the second Constitution containing 16 articles, 168 sections, and 9,447 words. Today the Constitution is made up of 18 articles, 224 sections, and 53,421 words. It is 8.5 times longer than the 1802 constitution and more than 5.5 times long than the 1851 constitution. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Growth Through the Decades</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ohio's constitution has grown a lot through the decades and many people feel differently about it. Before the 21st century, the decade in which most words were added to Ohio's constitution was the 1910s. This is when 6,502 words were added in 40 amendments. That decades growth was mostly because the 1912 Constitutional Convection. When 34 adopted amendments that added almost 7,000 words into the Constitution. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the 2000s, when only 10 amendments were adopted, increased Ohio's Constitution by 12,394 words. Twice as many as the 1910's accomplished. Also in the 2000s, added 31 percent more words the the entire 1851 constitution as adopted. </div>]]></description>
