Gandi was a well-brought-up man and when he went off to fight against the British empire people thought he was going to get himself killed. Just like the author of Three Cups of Tea, he is fighting for human rights. They both thought that what happening under the rule of terrible leaders was wrong so they fought. Gandi got his name muddied by fighting and so did the author. Gandi's name was muddied by getting put in jail multiple times and the author's name was muddied because he was thought to have lied in the book. When he asked the chief of the village to see the school the Chief told him that there was no school. he also said that the government would not pay for a teacher and it was too expensive for the Village to pay. I think that life in Korpe can be better or worse. When he put his little experience into helping people with wounds they called him a doctor. The Korpe don't know medical treatment so when a little bit was applied to them they that it was too good to be true. Then they took a little and made it seem like it was the world. One way I can see it from the better is that they don't need anything to make the world seem interesting. The elderly spend their days outside under the apricot tree and chewing on its kernels. It shows that their lives aren't complicated. One that I think was really big is that the children will actually get to learn. Another is that they have never had a building for the school. The third that I thought up is that they had never had outside help before and so it seemed so amazing that another person helped them that was not from their village. The last was it would not be a shared building like how their teacher had learned before it would be all theirs.  Rather than building a community center or hospital, he was helping them learn so at some point they could run the hospital themselves and not have to pay someone but just do it themselves. If he had given them a hospital or something like it it would get run down quickly and not helpful anymore. This reveals that Greg is a polite man. This also shows me that he listens before he talks. He also treats everyone with respect. This is significant to the story because it shows that he will not purposely disrespect someone and will be able to handle more stress that way. One way that I connect to the hospitality part is that when someone comes to your house you ask them to sit down. If the guest doesn't it may be seen as rude. Another way I connect to the text is that when someone comes to your house you generally offer them something to drink. He strikes me as an impulsive man; once he gets an idea in his head, he drops everything and will do it if it is the last thing he does. We know he decided to build a new school after almost dying on mount Everest. Then he did it and decided to build more schools. This shows that once he puts his mind to something he won't stop untell he has done it. When he met his wife I could tell that he was meeting someone who would be a large influence on him for the rest of his life. Offering the rams might make them hungry for a while, but in 10 years, they would still have a school. Morteson looked at Haji Ali as the wisest man he had ever met because Ali was correct when he said this and it was very simple yet held a great deal of importance to Mortenson.  It showed that the wisest of people can come from places where there are no schools. It doesn't matter knowledge doesn't matter it is living through life with a different perspective Ali showed me that to be smart you just have live life not go to 10 different schools and learn the name of every city with over 10,000 people in the Us it doesn't matter. What matters is living through life with an open face.  The way that I relate to this question is that I know many wise people and I can recognise that Haji Ali is a really smart person. The wisest person in my life was probably my Papa. The reason I think this is because he was very calm and had a sense of peace always surrounding him. I felt determination because al-Qaeda had kill a ton of innocent people and I want to get back at them. One connection that I made was that Mortenson was on the other side of the world when it happened which meant it was 5:14 pm. He also may have been scared because he was right next to Afganistan. Many Muslims shun Extremist Muslims any way. Those people are shunned for the poor actions of another group of people. Another effect that branches off the first is that since many Muslims are shunned they can not get good jobs in places like the Us or are blamed for offences they did not commit, and a offense like theft is given a harsher sequence that that of a regular citizen. 
          The only connection that I can make is the way that African-Americans are treated today. They were made slaves for many years and then at a citizen point they were freed and later given the same rights as regular white citizens but after all these years some people still treat them like trash. Muslims are treated the same way but much worse.  Even if it isn't their fault they are blamed making their live here hard to live through.  That was my connection that I made.

Mortenson decides to give him a stick of dynamite and tells him to either unlock the school or when Mortenson gets back he would blow the school up. The man unlocks the school and the village makes him a janitor of the school with no pay. The second challenge Mortenson faces is the fact that he made a promise to the horsemen. He had to go through with the promise so he goes to meet the king of Afghanistan for  safe passage into Afghanistan. Then he manages to persuade the king.
