Our school is situated in Đakovo, a small city in east Slavonia region, Osijek- baranja county. The school building is quite old but inside the building there are specialized classrooms which are modern: Science cabinet, IT cabinet, English and German language cabinet, Biology cabinet, Technical education cabinet, Art cabinet and etc. We still work in two shifts and our first shift starts at 8 am and finishes at 1:10 pm. We have a small school canteen and a library. Our pupils can learn three foreign languages: English, German and Hungarian language and there are many after school activities: sport activities, drama, clubs, eco groups, art groups and etc. We are also an eTwinning school and work on several international projects. Pupils grade 3-4 will use Pixel Art and design different eco images: recycle paper, recycle glass, separate rubbish, plant a tree, plant flowers, save nature, clean the oceans, say NO to plastic bags, take care of our planet, reduce garbage, reuse old things, clothes. This way pupils will expand their vocabulary and practice some new phrases connected to the topis of ecology, also they will raise their awareness on environmental issues and think of practical ways to act eco friendly. Pupils will use their designs and images for eco friendly posters. They will exhibit these in their schools.
