Welcome to the first lesson on your journey to building a Gymnastics Sequence as part of your Physical Education assessment.

In this lesson, you will learn to:

1. Understand how to perform a sequence of four different movements which includes a balancing action followed by a rotating action (in this order), demonstrating varied movement pathways, with smooth transition and different starting and ending positions.

2. Understand how to demonstrate safe behaviour when participating in physical activities individually and with others (e.g., following the rules and playing fair, cooperating with others)

Two or more skills which are performed together creating a different combination skill

What makes a good gymnastics sequence?

1. Strong

• good form

2. Stillness

• no movement or shaking

• stability during balances

• hold pose/balance for 3 seconds

3. Silence

• landing with good control (motorcycle stance)

4. Modified Cartwheel

5. Mount, rebound and form a shape

6. End Position

Welcome to your final Gymnastics Sequence SLS assignment.

In this lesson, you will learn to:

1. Plan a gymnastics sequence with the following components:

• Starting Position

• Balance

• Travel with Pathway

• Modified Cartwheel

• Rebound and Body Shape

• Ending Position

You may use any of the following Body Shapes as your BALANCE.
