Some of our rules are that if you turn in work late it's automatically a zero. Also you can't wear headphones in class unless instructed to do so. So far we have been reviewing the syllabus and rules, we just had a test on it. We have also been covering the spanish alphabet, as seen above. Lastly no sugary food or drinks allowed!

In class we have some rules. One of them is that there is no using translators for your work or it will be counted invalid. You also may not eat or drink anything sugary in class. We have been working on learning the spanish alphabet and making short sentences. The goal for the end of the semester is to be able to speak fluent spanish.  The expectations for our class are to always show up on time with the materials you will need for class. We are not to use translators or spanish dictionaries unless it is specified by our teacher that we are allowed to. If you do use a dictionary or translator, the assignment is invalid. All late work is an immediate zero. If you are absent, you have 3 days to make up for any work. So far we have learned about the spanish alphabet and how to pronounce each letter. You will have a 0 marked on your work but don't worry, it's just a placeholder unless... you don't do it of course.
There are no food or sugary beverages allowed in class due to ants.
Even if you have listening devices in your ears that aren't playing anything they are still not allowed.
If you volunteer someone to do something you will have to do that thing.
You cannot turn in late work and it will be marked as 0%.

Late work will not be accepted.  Phones will be a distraction so keep them away or in the box at the front of class. One of our classroom rules are, no eating and drinking sugary things. You're also not allowed to come into the class with headphones on. In our class late work is not accepted, but you are allowed to turn in work 3 days late if you're absent. Being on your phone invalidates any test or quiz that were working on and there is a phone cubby by the door. The rules and expectations of the classroom are to be respectful and you cant use translators and any dictionary if not told to do so. You have three days to turn in late work and don't use any electronics.You cannot walk in and or wear  headphones or earbuds.We all have bellringers in the start of class that we all have to do. The goal for all of us is to be able to speak spanish by the end of the year.

Since you're new, I'll tell you some things you should know. We shouldn't eat or drink sugary drinks in case of a spill. Water is allowed, of course. In class this week, we went over the school policies. A few policies are no sugary drinks(because of ants), no wearing earphones(it's disrespectful), and any form of cheating will be considered invalid. The cheating rule includes any translators or spanish dictionaries when it is not permitted by the teacher. Having your phone is not permitted but especially when during a test because that could also be considered invalid.  In class this week, we have been learning about the alphabet and basic phrases. For the alphabet, when learned how to pronounce each letter and associate different words in spanish that started with that particular letter within the alphabet. The basic phrases consisted of "Necesito un lapiz, por favor.", which translates to I need a pencil, please. I hope you have a smooth transition into Spanish 1 and Good luck!

In spanish class we respect our peers and teachers. Using any type of translator would be considered INVALID. Test projects are 40%of the grade and quizzes, classwork, class participation, and homework are 30%. Eating food or any sugary beverages in the classroom are not allowed.  In this classroom we have already learned about the spanish alphabet and the pronunciation of the letters! We have gone over words that start with a letter in the alphabet as a practice or study guide! Be careful with the way you type the words out because you don't want a different meaning in a sentence to be confusing to others. For example the word "bebe" and "bebé" have different meanings. "Bebe" means baby. "Bebé" means to have the ability to drink! Speaking of drinking, there are no sugary drinks or snacks allowed in the classroom because nobody wants an ant tribe marching in for a floor snack! I hope this introduction helped you out!
