The setting was important to the story because it changes the mood of the story. I know this because in the beginning it was happy because everybody was cheering and twords the end it was bad because Rose got shot, but then it was happy and sad because Rose was never found again but it was spring so it gave happy vibes.

The setting is important because when they were happy there was a parade and when it was sad when she saw the lil boy getting beat up and she followed and she saw the boys and they were hungry and she gave food to them and that place was a sad setting and the town people were leaving and her mother never found her and she got shot and that was more sad then spring cane which was happy.

i think the setting changed because before some people were excited but then things got scary as a boy was pushed into a car and into a camp with other starving kids and as rose bache started coming every day one day she got shot and soon triumph
