Jack is obsessing over catching the pig. He obsessed over it to the point that the hunters forgot to light the signal fire, leading to a ship passing them by, eliminating an opportunity for rescue.
Tough Questions:
How are they going to get off of the island now? This makes me wonder if another ship will ever pass by or if they will even bother with the fire now.
