When someone has a certain smaller areas in their brain, it’s likely that they have ADHD, or when someone is born prematurely.

If I had a student with ADHD, here’s how I would help support them in my classroom so they can thrive:

I would establish clear routines and expectations in the classroom. This includes providing a daily schedule and using visual cues or reminders to help the student stay organized and focused.

I would break down complex tasks into smaller, manageable steps. This can help the student with ADHD better understand and complete assignments or projects without feeling overwhelmed.

I would utilize visual aids such as charts, diagrams, or graphic organizers to help the student with ADHD better understand and retain information. Visual cues can enhance comprehension and memory.

I would implement a system of positive reinforcement, acknowledging and rewarding the student's efforts and achievements. This can help motivate the student and boost their self-esteem.

Lastly, I would approach the student with ADHD with flexibility and understanding. Recognizing that each student is unique, I would be patient and supportive, adapting my teaching methods and strategies as needed to meet the individual needs of the student.

By implementing these strategies, I aim to create an inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and social success of students with ADHD.
