1. Common descent is a concept which one species is the ancestor of multiple species later in time. All living things are descendats of a unique ancestor, who is to be believed the last universal common ancestor of all life.
2. Darwin made observations of turtles and other specimen on islands and on shorelines of landmasses. He observed the similarties between the specimen, and how they are almost exactly alike. However, the ones on the islands have adapated to island life.
3. Selective breeding helps with development of better and more useful strains of genetics. It also assists in removal of bad strains of genetical information.
4. Natural selection is where organisms adapted to their enviroment to survive and reproduce.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZGgEHmEgqTEkYFvtEb9_D3bdTVLTZtL7S4f_-cHLhJE/edit?usp=sharing

1.) Common descent is the idea that all living organisms on Earth are related by a single organism that has continued to modify into different species.
2.) Charles Darwin made observations that led to the concept of Natural Selection. When traveling overseas Darwin observed that different islands contain species of animals and plants that were unique to those islands but had similarities to other island's species. This led him to explain that one of these species naturally ended up on a different island and had offspring there. With this being said, the species that were there started to adjust to certain things unique to that island. This is because of natural selection; a non-random way of nature selecting certain offspring to live and recreate, while others to die with their modifications.
3.) Selective breeding is important because it can create new necessary modifications to different species. Many crops have been created from selective breeding. This process is done by a person choosing which offspring to plant or mate in order to create important modifications to a species. This process gives us many different products from one simple species.
4.) Natural selection is the non-random way that nature chooses the remaining offspring to continue breeding. This is done by nature deciding which offspring gets to live and recreate, and which offspring does not.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JDeEV5G2PGtSvjQEYPQPm6T6wF8ZD2LTIJJRD8TYs_A/edit?usp=sharing

While Darwin was travelling he realized that different islands would have certain species that were specific to that certain island but were all connected in a way. He explained that the species most likely started on one island and then developed certain traits that would help them to survive. This is natural selection, the way nature decides which organisms get to survive because they have certain traits and which ones die because they lack those traits.

Why is selective breeding important?
Selective breeding is important because it has been used to keep the evolution of things going as well as creating stronger, more modern organisms. Darwin explained that the species could've started in one region and then evolved to adapt to its new environment.
Why is selective breeding important
- Selective breeding is important because it's been used to develop more useful breeds of animals from the genetic diversity that exists.
