There is some controversy about, should mathematics and philosophy have to be made optional instead of compulsory. I don't agrees with this notion and will discuss about it in this piece of writing.

In one hand, there are many reasons to support the above notion. Firstly, extreme hard work is needed to solve math proplems, this leed to a lack of time and mental strength for some students.

It is widely acknowledged that all the subjects which are taught in school have their own importance. However, many people believe that programs like math or philosophy should be considered as alternatives . In my point of view, while these subjects do bring some merits, yet they should be optional.

Admittedly, studying mathematics and philosophy is beneficial to the students as these subjects will support them in their future career. It is indisputable that math and philosophy are the curriculums that help students develop analytical and logical thinking. These skills act as a foundation in their future career, especially jobs that required calculating such as accountant or business analyst.

However, there are stronger reasons to believe that schools should make math and philosophy optional. The key rationale is that it will be more equal to the students who are expert in other fields. Since philosophy and mathematics are difficult, they will take the students' a great amount of time to study them. Therefore, it is undeniable that these subjects will curb the time they spend for their specialized subjects. Furthermore, adding these subjects to mandatory courses will put pressure on the students in other field as they have to be qualified in the subjects that are not necessary for them in order to graduate.

In conclusion, due to the benefits that studying math and philosophy gives and the disadvantages that the students studying in other fields faced, I am of the opinion that all students must study these subjects on a rudimentary level and the more advanced program will be taught in optional classes for the students in need.

It is said that schools should make some subjects such as Math and philosophy be optional instead of obligatory. I wholeheartedly disagree with the statement for the following reason.

Firstly, it is undeniable that schools should focus principally on academic subjects like Math and philosophy, which will help to raise their career prospects. One of the foremost objectives of education is to help students lay a foundation for a successful career and achieve a respectable social status in the future. Therefore, if the bulk of the curriculum does not include these subjects, students’ attention to their future might be diverted away. They will squander their times that will not secure their employment opportunities, leading to deteriorating academic performance.

It is often argued that schools should make Math and philosophy be optional instead of compulsory. I strongly disagree with this idea for the following reasons.

Firstly, Maths and philosophy are undeniably the most vital subjects right now at school. These two are the fundamentals for any career, as most of jobs today requires advance Maths
