It was incredibly nice to have another opportunity to facilitate and document another tutoring/teaching session with young kids from other schools or organizations. The feeling of Hospitality was one I really wanted to instill in this activity, making the lovely kiddos feel comfortable during the learning session and I think we achieved that quite well. Quite honestly, I sometimes imagine myself to be a teacher, in the shoes of the people who get us to learn every weekday for eight to ten months, and I never thought that their work was easy. The lesson plans they need to draft, the activities needed to be administered and checked, answering queries from students about basically anything related (or not related), struggles to stay on schedule, and for an hour, I (sort of) experienced that struggle. Through this activity, I've been able to experience the hardships teachers face every single day and in the end, we all conquered it together with dignity and kindness. Sure, there might be time constraints, difficulty in keeping the students engaged, and technical struggles, but we all pushed through it with collaboration and preparedness as well as learned a couple things along the way. I'm very grateful that I was able to document this experience and I wish the memories that were made from it stay for a long time. :)

The SAP was a meaningful and engaging activity for both the students from the partner schools and San Beda University. Despite their differences, everyone came together and supported each other throughout the program. After the activity, I gained a deeper understanding of the challenges our teachers face in every class. This experience made me appreciate and admire my teachers even more. Although I don’t see myself becoming a teacher, it was fun to step into their shoes, even just for a short while.

Our SAP this grade 11 was truly an experience for us students to try and know how it is to be able to teach students. It was an engaging and fun experience even with the short time given, we truly made the most out of it ☺️. With this opportunity given, i learned new skills snd got to also apply the skills i’ve learned here in san beda, as each year level the activities for SAP is different. Though this activity was some how similar on our SAP back when i was grade 9 we also got to teach students.

It was a blessing to be given the opportunity to experience teaching young minds in this BedisTuro Activity. This helped me realize that teaching with passion can have a big impact on shaping young minds. These students are engaging to be with; it was inspiring for me to see how eager they are to learn even how hard or confusing some of the lessons were. Overseeing my classmates' passion to teach not out of requirement, but because they seek potential in these students with the subjects they want to volunteer teaching. This helped me realize how our teachers also seek our potential amidst our differences and the challenges they are facing in the technicalities of being a professional teacher as their job. 💌

The BedisTuro Activity with the Grade 8 students was a meaningful experience. Teaching them core subjects helped me see how important it is to build their skills at a young age. It felt like a privilege to guide them and be part of their learning journey. At the same time, I also learned from their questions, ideas, and way of thinking. This experience reminded me that teaching is not just about sharing knowledge, but also about growing with the learners.

This SAP Bedisturo activity taught me a lot. Although I was not able to interact with students themselves, being able create a fun and enggaging powerpoints for them was very fulfilling. As we grow older, subjects like science can become less fun as they become more confined to textbooks. However with this activity and experiment, I hope they were able to realize the wonders of science and the numerous projects they can do with it. The activity taught me the importance of education, especially for younger children. We should continue to teach and guide others, just as others have for us in the past.

In preparing the project, I was able to bond and foster camaraderie with my classmates as a final project with them. In conclusion, it was not only fun, but also very fulfilling.

Our Social Action Program (SAP) for Grade 11, called “Bedisturo,” was a really meaningful experience for me. It wasn’t just about teaching—it felt like we were actually connecting with the kids and making their day a little brighter. Seeing their smiles while we were teaching and how much they were enjoying the lesson was super motivating. It reminded me how important it is to share what we know and use what we’ve learned to help others.

I honestly enjoyed the whole experience. Being able to teach and interact with the kids made me realize how fulfilling it can be to educate others. It also gave me a new perspective on what it might be like to be a teacher. I never seriously considered teaching before, but after this program, it’s something I’m now open to—maybe as a backup plan if I don’t end up pursuing medicine. Either way, it’s comforting to know that there are other paths I could take that still involve making a positive impact.

I believe that the BedisTuro Activity was very meaningful and enjoyable for both the grade 8 students and for us grade 11 students. Through this activity, we were able to empower the grade 8 students through sharing our own knowledge and skills and it felt like a blessing to be given an opportunity to teach them. Just like how my ates and kuyas have guided me in my educational journey, this activity gave me the chance to do the same with younger students. Furthermore, this activity shed light on the challenges and experiences of being a teacher and it has made me deeply admire the effort and work that they do for us. It was very exciting to see how eager and engaged the students were from the activity. This activity reminded me of how important it is to be a teacher, and to pass down our knowledge and to guide the newer generations of students as their ates and kuyas.

As a new student here at San Beda University Rizal, being part of the Bedisturo Social Activity Program was such a meaningful and unforgettable experience. It wasn’t just about teaching Grade 7 students, it was about connecting with them, sharing knowledge, and creating moments of genuine interaction. While we aimed to be a blessing to them, I believe we were just as blessed in return. We learned a lot simply by being around them, their energy, curiosity, and smiles reminded us of the joy that comes with giving back. It didn’t feel like something we had to do just to complete our clearance requirements. Instead, it felt like something we genuinely wanted to do for their benefit, and even for our own growth. The experience left a mark on me and made me even more excited for the upcoming SAPs that we’ll get to join in the future

I believe that this activity has made us learn what it is to teach someone. It is a simple yet hard task, as the amount of preparation needed is a lot, due to the amount of students and needing to review the subjects as to not misinform anyone. Despite this, I felt that this activity is easy (Most likely due to me being a facilitator and us being a group in 1 subject) I cannot say how easy or difficult this is to other people due to us having different roles in this activity. This also made me learn how different each people are due to some students being quiet and some students being noisy or.. somewhat noisy, although this is the case, it was easy to quiet them down as some of the teachers and facilitators helped with quieting them down. In conclusion, what I can say with this activity is that, it was a good learning experience to how teachers do with handling different type of students

The Social Action Program "Bedisturo" was an eye-opening experience that allowed us to use our knowledge to teach younger students. This SAP also tested our courage and perseverance as preparing the materials needed for the lectures required a lot of time, effort, and teamwork. This let me realize how our teachers prepare themselves to teach us, spending hours planning and finding ways to make discussions meaningful. This led to me appreciating all their hard work even more, given that the amount of students we taught does not compare to how many they handle on a daily basis. Through Bedisturo, I saw how teaching is not only about delivering lessons, but about inspiring, empowering, and caring for students.

It made me realize how important education is—not just for them, but for me too, as I learned a lot about responsibility and communication. I noticed that around half of the class was having a hard time understanding the lesson, which made me reflect on how hard teaching can actually be. It pushed me to be more patient and find simpler ways to explain things. This experience really opened my eyes to the value of helping others learn and how much impact a teacher—even a student teacher—can have.

For me, as a new student at San Beda University Rizal, I can say that this program is really helpful not only for those students that we handled but also for us who taught that day. It was a reminder for us how importance the connection, sharing of knowledge, and engagement with the younger students. It was also fulfilling to see them smile, laugh, and really focus during the entire program. There may be some technical difficulties, some lapses, and some issues due to lack of preparation, but this program still insists the need of enjoyment and passion on what we just did.

Unexpectedly, the Social Action Program (SAP) has given me a new perspective on the joy of interacting with peers younger than me. I saw the process that students undergo in learning concepts as I was one of the teachers in the English class. With this, I saw that teaching is not just about having complete knowledge of a topic but also utilizing it by transforming and explaining it in a way that anyone can understand. This realization about the teaching process made me reflect on my interaction with others. Particularly in how interactions with people are supposed to be made; the teaching process made me realize that interactions, in an educational context or not, are a two-way street, which warrants empathy and understanding to the people you talk to. To conclude, the SAP program has not only allowed me to teach students but also shown me the value of empathy, which changed the way I interact with others.

This year's Social Action Program (Bedisturo) was a memorable experience and I am thankful for having participated in such an event. Gaining the opportunity to interact and engage with the students was truly rewarding, especially seeing the joy in their faces as we proceed with each activity. As a teacher during the event, hearing their laughter as we satisfy their curiosity was genuinely heart-warming. Despite only spending a short time together, the memories built will forever remain. This experience also gave me a stronger appreciation for all teachers, who strive to fulfill their goal of honing our minds and hearts. Taking upon their role during the activity, I was able to encounter their tasks and responsibilities real-time. This provided me with a new perspective on teachers and their efforts as they ensure that every student properly grasps knowledge crucial for their future. Overall, this program gave me memories, experiences, skills, and realizations that will surely aid me, as well as other students, for years to come.

Education is a aspect of society. And I believe that knowledge is best imparted during our youth. Having the youth to experience this first-hand, teaching others and they themselves being taught, provides them the chance to impart meaningful knowledge onto others. Moreover, this program has also helped the students realize and appreciate more what teachers do on their day-to-day lives for their students. Overall, I believe this program has been a success, and witnessing and documenting it has been an experience to remember.

I learned how tough it was to actually teach those students, even if their numbers were quite low, I had a bit of trouble teaching those students and I can’t even comprehend how hard it is too teach the normal amount of 40+ students. I also had it easy as the modules were provided and I didn’t have to create my own, another thing to point out is that we were multiple people teaching at once. I have gained even more respect for teachers who do this for a daily basis, for I have learned that teaching is a difficult occupation. This also opened my eyes to how much teachers are really getting undermined by the general public as they don’t get much attention and publicity. This experience introduced me to a whole other world of experience, trials, and learning on the whole thing about teaching, while this experience was enlightening it was also fun and exciting, meeting all the wonderful young students of the future.

As a former student of CAYSMNHS, i am grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge to the grade 8 students of my previous alma mater. Witnessing their excitement as we taught new concepts reminded me of the transformative power of education. Moreover, collaborating with fellow volunteers highlighted the importance of community support in improving educational opportunities for all.

During our BedisTuro with the Grade 8 students of Casimiro A. Ynares Sr. Memorial National High School (CAYSMNHS), I served as one of the student facilitators of the science subject, focusing on the fermentation process of yeast and sugar. This experience was truly memorable as I saw the students’ genuine curiosity and excitement, highlighting how education can empower young minds with a genuine and ever-growing love for learning and discovery. Through this activity, I realized that as Bedans, it is our responsibility not only to make the most of the education and opportunities given to us but also to share them with other members of the community. In turn, I discovered that we, as facilitators, also learn alongside our tutees. The discussion exemplified the Benedictine Hallmarks of Stewardship and Community by showing care and responsible use of the gifts God has entrusted to us—our talents, our time, and the grace to lift others—making service one of the most meaningful expressions of our faith. By embodying the value of Hospitality and being welcoming to the members of our partner institution, we can create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported. As Bedans, we are called by God to serve the common good and embody the value of Community by extending our hands in service and our hearts in solidarity. Through community engagement activities, we not only share our knowledge but also the blessings we have received, strengthening the bonds that unite us and fostering a community rooted in compassion, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to a better future.

It is known that education is a great privilege, one that opens you to many, other privileges. May that be for one's livelihood, own health, or creativity. However, I have learned that lessons are even greater when shared with others as it effectively empowers them in school. As new tutors, we thought the limited amount of time to prepare and review all the necessary materials for the activity would cause a lack of imparted knowledge to our students. However, I have astonishingly seen how even our small preparations went a long way in teaching the students about complexities in biology and chemistry. Simply put, I was reminded of education's value to empower, and why the successful activity strived to achieve the same goal of empowering us.

Teaching is the foundation of knowledge and sharing it onto others greatly enhances their perspective to the importance of learning. As they say, "Knowledge is power" thus giving power to the youth will make the learners the future of this country. Through the Bedisturo, it started with hesitations to answer and inability to exert their confidence from being energetic and participative in class. Because of this, they were able to boost their confidence hence learn valuable lessons from subjects like Science, Theology and etc. from my fellow classmates who were giving their all by rewarding them and making sure they are in a safe environment to learn. But more than anything, it was the joy of watching students truly engage with the lessons and building real connections with them that made this journey unforgettable.

The Bedisturo was a very meaningful and eye-opening experience. Although I didn't do much during the event, it made me realize how important good education is to the students. Education should be accessible to everyone, and the blessed should help those who aren't as fortunate as them. It was very enjoyable to see the students learn and participate in the activities. Overall, the event was a success.

Joining the SAP Bedisturo is very meaningful and can give some educational knowledge for both the learners and us (teachers). In essence, the goal is a mutually beneficial experience where the younger student gains knowledge and skills, and the older student develops valuable life and professional skills. It’s a memorable event to me. I really enjoyed it and it was very fun.

Being part of the "Bedisturo" Social Action Program was a powerful experience that helped me grow both personally and academically. Teaching younger students allowed me to put into practice the lessons I’ve learned in school, but in a way that felt more real and impactful. This taught me how much effort goes into educating others, and it gave me a new level of respect for our teachers and everything they do behind the scenes.

The Bedisturo activity helped me to appreciate more our teachers. Through the activity where we each have our role to fill, it helped us know how the normal routine is for a teacher. Part of the activity also showed us how it can also be fun to teach to others. Through the ice breakers and activities it also helped us bond with the students. This activity made me respect teachers even more, because they have to do everything that we did in this activity all by themselves.
