The Kansas-Nebraska Act was a territorial organic act that created Nebraska and Kansas. It also repealed the Missouri Compromise and allowed for popular sovereignty. It also allowed slavery in the remaining original area of the louisiana purchase.

This is a cycle of cooperation that led into a cycle of conflict. It was a cycle of cooperation because it allowed for the Missouri compromise to end and for Nebraska and Kansas to become their own territories. This led to a cycle of conflict because this was the catalyst for the “Bleeding Kansaa” event later on.
