Juwelry robbed at the center of Amsterdam

A group of men robbed a  jewellery last night at 11 am in the centre of Amsterdam.  The local police responded quickly, but the culprits escaped. After a car pursuit, which lasted 30 minutes, 2 suspects were caught. They have been interrogated up until this moment, but they did not give any additional information. The police released a statement which stated that ‘the suspects were not cooperating, which makes solving the crime a slow process”. Since the camera footage shows 5 people robbing the jewellery, they will need additional information to solve the crime. The jewellery in question will be closed until further notice.

The police thinks that there is a connection with the robbery last month in Utrecht, in which 1.5 million worth of jewellery was stolen from another jewellery in Utrecht. The robbery’s show similarity’s. In both robbery’s they used a car to drive into the Jewellery, and another person with a getaway car. Besides of that, the posture of the men are similar. The police will need more information to confirm that these 2 crimes are linked.
