1. "The color of her skin was like an almond." (Stokes 13) This is an example of a simile because the author is describing her using like. That is a simile showing and describing Parvati introducing her into the book.
2. "She smelt like a whole freaking garden of flowers." (Stokes 15) This is a simile describing Parvati again. It tells us that she smells good and helps the reader get a good understanding of her.
3. "Her eye lashes were so long, almost like a birds wings." (Stokes 61) This is personification because the author gives something non-living a living characteristic. Saying that her eyelashes are long enough to be bird wings.
4. "The rag smelt sweet, like candy" (Stokes 324). This is explaining what the alcohol Preston had on the rag when he tries to get Max to be knocked out. It shows
5. "Gonzalez laughed. A brittle sound, like breaking glass." (Stokes 112). This shows a simile because it is using like describing his laugh.

TOP 10 MOST CRAZY PLOT TWISTS/QUOTES.
1. "If Preston wasn't adopted then why was he at Rosewood?" (Stokes 237)
2. ""Not quite." Parvati pulled out a black handgun from her purse." (Stokes 135)
3."I feel the blunt tip of a gun poking into my side" (Stokes 213)
4. "Its a boy about my age. Preston." (Stokes 305)
5. "I end up on my back in the gravel, the stars twisting and spinning in the sky above me." (Stokes 318)
6. "Its blood" (Stokes 104)
7. "Preston had videos of Parvati and me having sex." (Stokes 153)
8. "A cop car is turning into the lot" (Stokes 172)
9. "A wall of fire extending from the roof" (Stokes 183)
10. "The body of Preston DeWitt, and an as-of-yet-unidentified female." (Stokes 202)

Why I chose this list:

I chose this list because I found myself almost every chapter mind blown because i was so caught off guard. The book expressed a great job keeping the reader on his or hers toes reading this book. Because of this I thought this was very important. Because Paula Stokes did this the book really caught my attention and had me reading for hours at a time. That is why I picked the list of the top ten plot twists.

Why this image goes well with my list:

I picked this image for many reasons. I feel that in the book there was so much danger. When it comes to guns drugs and even death, it is all in this book. Danger is also a theme in my book so i thought it was a great image to put. That is why i chose to put this image.

Symbols and Motifs

One of the motifs or symbols in the book Liars Inc. is the idea of foster homes. Throughout the book Max is explaining his time in a foster home. Preston was also in the foster home and the ending of the book is based on a foster home. "Why does Preston have a picture of rosewood?" (Stokes 229). Because of the symbol of the foster home in the beginning it keeps coming back up throughout the book.

My second symbol or motif in the book is a gun. When it comes to Max shooting one, being shot at, or hit with, they are all over. "I feel the blunt tip of a gun poking into my side" (Stokes 213). This is just one of the examples with a gun being expressed. Because the gun has caused and has been brought up many times the gun is a symbol in Liars Inc.
