I want to share a story with you, because Mrs. Lin forced us to. This doesn't happen a lot, but I forgot my backpack in fourth grade. My classmates laughed at me during the first period, PE. The funniest thing is, the person who sat next to me forgot his backpack a couple weeks later, so we laughed at him too.

Hi. My name is Bradley. I'm 12 and in 7th grade. I like to read, draw, code, play video games, and swim. My family is Indonesian, so I can also speak Indonesian and like to eat Indonesian foods. I have a mom, dad, and little sister.

I'd like to tell you a story that happened last weekend. I woke up at the crack of dawn, ate some bread, got changed, and hopped in my Dad's car. We were going to a swim meet. I felt a bit nervous since this summer I went to Indonesia to see my relatives, so I didn't go swimming for a while. Due to that I may swim slower, but at the same time I was in my growth spurt, so I may swim faster. I decided to read a book to forget about my worries. Once I got to Morgan Hills Aquatic Center, the location of the swim meet, I was met with rows and rows of tents, in a massive array of colors, set up by other families. There were people talking, reading, playing games, eating, etc. They were much more relaxed than I was. While my parents were setting up their tent, I was doing warm ups.

Later, I went back to the tent, and I found my events. They were: 50 meter breastroke, 100 meter freestyle, 100 meter backstroke. I continued reading my book until it was my event. Eventually my event came. I stepped onto the diving block. The announcer told everyone to start. Everyone dived in. Most kids started off fast, but I decided to start off slow and conserve my energy. By the last lap, I was powering my way to the end of the pool. My time improved and I was satisfied. I was also really hungry, and at home I ate 1 roll of kimbap.

I wonder what your life is like and what sports you do.

五十公尺蛙泳、 一百公尺自由泳、和一百公尺仰泳。我已經做了這些比賽，我的時間很好的，所以我這次不知道會進步。我決定看書，吃一個電信，忘記我的著急。到了我第一個比賽，我不著急了，而我的著急被換成了決心。比賽開始了，我跳進了水裡，身體突然感覺又冷又放鬆。我在開始慢慢得，因為我的教練一直叫我們要在開始游得慢，保留力氣。到了最後採用所有的力氣。到了最後的圈，我用力得游，一口氣都沒做。我最後覺得很累，可是時間進步了很多！在下兩個鼻塞，薄的時間也進步了。回家時，我最後覺得很滿意，可是也很餓，吃了一條紫菜包飯！

My name is Jason Wang, nice to meet you! I go to Miller Middle School every day and there are many interesting classes. My favorite sport is golf, and I go to the golf course to practice every day. At a golf course near us, I encounter coyotes all the time. Many times I have seen coyotes walking around while playing on the golf course. Once, I even saw a coyote attack a mallard duck.

At that time, I felt panic, but I couldn't take my eyes away from this scene, I was completely fascinated! The coyote chased the mallard and eventually bit its wing. After they struggled for a while, the coyote ran away with the duck in its mouth!

I also have two twin brothers who are very irritating. My hobbies include, basketball, trombone, and piano. I've recently been reading this book called Three Body Problem written by Cixin Liu. The book was originally written in Chinese, so I'm reading the translated version. I'm curious if you've heard or read the book and if you haven't, I highly recommend it as your next read.

A funny story I want to share is that once, there was a lock down at our school. There had been an alert that someone unwelcome was near our campus. The principal told the teachers through the loudspeaker to lock the doors, close the windows, and turn off the lights. During that time, our class was taking a test so the teacher told us to grab our computers, take it under with us, and continue the test. You can guess how funny the scene was. 30 or so students squatting under their chairs with computers glowing up their faces. In the end, it turned out to be a false alarm and was really nothing. Oh! I just remembered a story regarding food. Let me tell it to you: One day, I was walking with my sister to go buy milk tea, but I didn’t know what flavor to choose. However, my sister knew, so I just went in line to wait in line. When we were at the register though, I still didn’t know what to buy, so I asked my sister to choose for me. In the end, I ended up with a green-slushy looking drink. To be honest, it looked kind of disgusting, but I still decided to try it. When I tried it though, it was REALLY good. Not only was it cold, it was also icy, and had a nice texture. Also, it had boba in it which was really chewy! At the very end, it became one of my favorite foods/drinks, and this experiences taught me that you should always try something before you judge it (you never know!).

I think I was very lucky because some people on the boat tried to go whale watching in the morning, but they did not even see a single whale!

There’s a story I’d like to share with you. One time I went to Lake Tahoe with my family. There was very heavy traffic so we arrived at around 10:00 pm. Instead of sleeping in a tent, we slept in a yurt. There was a heater and a lamp. When I walked in, my first thought was: “I should’ve brought a book.” There was also a bunk bed and a regular bed. The mattress for both beds were soft, much better than an air mattress. I had to drag myself out of the yurt every morning. If it’s possible, I’d like to live in a yurt again next time.

My mom and dad rushed me to an emergency center, but it was closed at that time. We had to go to another emergency center, which took six or seven minutes. This morning at math class, the teacher told us to pass our notebooks to the person behind us so they could grade our homework. So the boy sitting in front of me passed his homework to me. He left so much blank space on his notebook that I figured it would be wasted if I didn't do anything with it. So I drew a few cats. Even though I used pencil to draw it, he didn't erase them, so I think he doesn't hate them. So why does everyone hate them then?

I would send a picture, but I'm afraid my classmates will laugh at me.

Hello, my name is Elsa. There are 3 people in my family: My mom, my dad, and me. I am eleven years old. I like writing narratives (but they always end up horrible) and my favorite color is red.

I want to share a story with you. Once I went to the beach with my friends Zoey and Norah (Not the Zoie and Norah that goes to Miller) and we started searching tide pools for crabs and whatnot. We eventually got bored and Zoey took out a Frisbee (No electronics at the beach... :( ）and then we started throwing it around. It landed in the ocean and was swept away, and then I went in to chase it. We got Zoey's Frisbee back, but my shoes didn't make it.
