In recent years, an increasing emphasis has been placed on inclusive education in many countries across the globe. Inclusive education is the most effective way to give all children a fair chance to go to school, learn and develop the skills they need to thrive. The aim of this approach is to provide every student, regardless of their abilities or background, with equal opportunities to learn and thrive in an environment that is supportive and inclusive. This learning station will delve into how inclusive education is being implemented in the Netherlands and Germany, two countries that have made significant advancements in this area. The policies and practices that have been established, the challenges encountered, and the achieved outcomes will be analyzed. By doing so, a comprehensive overview of the present state of inclusive education in these two countries will be provided, shedding light on the potential benefits and limitations of this approach.
