But it's alright if we remain optimistc and openminded. As citizens, it's also up to us to actively seek out diverse viewpoints and engage in political discussions.

To start off my presentation today, I'd like to first introduce you to this man, Frederick Douglass, who envisoned a Pluralist Utopia in the immediate aftermath of the American Civil War, where freedom and equality would prevail. However, his hopes were not fully realized and his grand visions of an inclusive society remained out of reach. Fast forward to today, we live in an entirely different reality where it is more diverse and saturated with media. So in my presentation today I'd like to explore a bit about the media's growing influence and its potential when it comes to housing political discourse.
