The picture overall gives off cool vibes (due to the colors) and it works with the background.
However, the background IS distracting in a way. Despite being in the shade, little sloshes of light give her an Easter feel in the summertime. 
However, I think it can be improved a lot. I don´t like how you´re able to see the street and non-shaded area, and frankly its distracting.
