The advantage of texting is that  Faster than phone calls. Better open rates than email. Giving people a more efficient way to communicate, especially with a business, is rewarded by stronger and quicker response rates. Can involves writing that can be stored either in the device or on a database that can be kept for future reference. It's one of the cheapest modes of communication, people spend almost nothing on texting especially if you have access to the internet.

On the dark side, texting is non-standard vocabulary, you talk with non-official language by make the word small and easy but non-formal. texting is a part of communication that means that can make you alone, away from family, friend, etc
