Travel section

- History section:
It was build in 1745, it has a big and central cathedral which still conserves the architectural style of the 18th and 19th centuries. It joined the Pueblos Mágicos program in 2006. The lands that today are what we know as the "Pueblo de Santiago", one day were inhabited by nomadic gathering tribes of “guachichiles” Indians.

- 3 Must see sites:
1. Centro De Santiago is is the gateway to its architecture, tradition and beauty.
2. Cascada Cola de Caballo which is not more than 25 meters of fall and recreational areas.
3. Tacos Villa De Santiago are a great place to go to eat and are very common.

- Best time to travel:
The best time to visit Santiago around August and November, not only because of the lovely weather where it is neither too hot nor too cold, but because there are many Mexican events and decorations.

- Recommended daily budget:
Going to Santiago is very cheap. The parking lot for your car is basically free if you park on the street, or you could leave it on a parking lot for 20 pesos the hour. Also, getting to all the attractions such as the cathedral is also free. Where you would spend the more money is on food and on the local famous market, located on a famous street where you can purchase some crafts.
