Children from the "Dots" group (two-year-olds) chose a logo for the project by describing what they saw in the picture. In doing so, they developed their speech (acquired words) and developed their knowledge of caring for the environment (planting trees, watering, sorting garbage). In the Logo pictures, the children also noticed the flags of countries, and one boy, D.K. (2 years old), managed to find the flag of our country, Croatia, in each picture.

With this experiment the kids understood that the plants breath. Small bubbles appeared on the leaves and walls of the container. These are oxygen molecules released by the plant during photosynthesis.

First we all watched an educational video on Youtube for animals that hibernate and wake up now in Spring . Then we experimented with ice (coagulation - melting). Finally we planted seeds using plastic glasses and cotton and we will watch the progress of the plants.

In our first activity with the children, we reminded ourselves what it means to be friends of nature. We learned what we can do to protect nature. The children colored and cut out different pictures to make a poster to show that they know what it means to be protectors of nature.

We had a beautiful trip where children could admire and explore nature. They saw wild ducks and swans on a lake, observed insects and birds for which they prepared some feeders. The children were very excited and had a beautiful day with lots of fun!

Children were curious to find out if plants can breathe too. We put water and leaves in two glass containers. We waited for two hours while the children observed what happened. Lots of air bubbles appeared on the surface of the leaves. The children were very excited, they told their parents about it and tried this experiment at home.

Class B1A spent the month of March planting aromatic herbs in our garden beds and taking care of our educational vegetable garden. We prepared the soil, added compost, and planted onions, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley, among others. Now, we will take care of the plants, observe them, keep records, and, as soon as possible, taste our organic food.

We also worked in groups to learn about World Water Day, Tree Day, and Recycling Day.
Every day, we work towards a Greener Citizenship.
