         <description><![CDATA[<div>I will engage my PLC members with the following observations:</div><ul><li>If the L2 students can use their language repertoire through translanguaging in the classrooms, they will be able to show what they know and help them in the process of acquire a second language</li><li>Teacher can not know all the languages of students in the classroom but they can equip the classrooms with books and signage in many languages </li><li>The students will have a fuller understanding of reading texts written in L2 if they have encouragement to use language in the ways they prefer</li><li>Bilingual students are better thinkers if encouraged to research topics in any language </li></ul><div><br>In my personal experience, I see my 8 year old son using code-switching and translanguanging all the time. I used to think that it could be negative or it was because he had two different repertories, but after reading this material, I understood that he has one repertoire with entwined linguistic features. In fact, he is able to distinguish which linguistic features of his repertoire to use in different situations.</div>]]></description>
