Mom: “I was surprised, and I immediately got prepared buying supplies for prevention and protection.”

Mom: “I thought people were underreacting, at first. No one thought that the Coronavirus was going to reach the United States.”

Mom: “We all watched the news and followed the guidelines. We took care of ourselves as well as the people around us.”

Mom: “Most people, including us, have immunity to the virus, due to having the antibodies. Most also have various vaccines. We have been able to get back to socializing, and little by little the world is getting back to normal. We are able to travel again with little restrictions.”

Mom: “A year ago, people were just getting the vaccines, so I wondered if they would even work. I did not know how long the vaccine would last, and I didn’t know if or when we would be able to walk around without masks on.”

Mom: “We are living creatures that can be so vulnerable and so terribly impacted by a natural disaster like this. I realized how hard it is for us to live isolated. Human beings are naturally very social, and being away from everyone is very difficult.”

Dad: “I was shocked. I was not really very worried. I knew that I had to take certain precautions, like wearing a mask, but if I did get the virus, I knew that it would not hurt me very much, since I don’t have any underlying conditions.”

Dad: “I thought there were many people overreacting. I knew that the virus was going to come. There is really no way to prepare for a pandemic like this because you never know what it will bring.” 

 Dad: “My family responded very well. Your mom was worried about the virus, so she bought all of the necessary supplies for us.”

Dad: “When the pandemic first happened, we had to go into quarantine and follow all of the CDC guidelines to stay safe. We could not go out with other people, and we could not travel. Today, there are almost no places that require masks. We once again have the ability to travel to places and to socialize with other people.”

Dad: “A year ago, I did not know what was going to happen to the world because of the pandemic. It was close to when the vaccine came out. I didn’t know when this pandemic was going to end.”

Dad: “The pandemic has made me realize how much damage a virus could do to the world. It surprises me how a sickness can hurt the world so much. It is incredible how the Coronavirus spread from across the world so quickly. This has made me realize how the world is so connected.”
