Adam was starting his first day at his new school. Adam was from New York. Adam didn't grew up in a hometown. he'd grown up in the military but it's to complicated to explain. Adam's dad was hard on him because Adam's dad wanted him to be perfect.

Adam made a new friend and his name is Davi, After school Adam was riding his bike around town. While he was riding he bumped into Davi and he invited him to play with him and his friends. They were playing football but with a coconut when they invited Adam they told him that about playing football with a coconut and he said " so its coconut ball." after Adam thought that he was acting so weird and embarrassed. The teams where called the devil sharks and the Wilds cats After playing they ate the coconut and they sat together and they were throwing insults to each other so Adam felt very left out. After when Adam was leaving and he noticed that his bike was broken to Davi offered to help him and took him to his dad to fix it so Adam went with him to fix it.

The tittle is A Boy at WAR and the author is Harry Mazer. Harry was in WW2, and he was in the air force in 1943. He attended Bronx high school of science. He was born May 31, 1925, and died April 7, 2016. He created more books like please, somebody tell me who I am etc. His father Sam was a dress maker. His Mother Rose was also a dress maker. He married Norma fox who is a Novelist. He had four children who are Anna, Joseph, Susan, Gina. he had a Maidan named, lazeunick.

Adam- He has messy dark hair he's forgiving and brave he's obedient and caring he's funny at times

Adam's Dad- He has wavy blonde hair and demanding and strict although he's hard on Adam he cares for him

Adam's friend Davi - he's tired looking he also has thick hair he's brave and calm, and though he messes with his friends or argues with them he cares for them a lot

Adam's Mom- kind and caring and she tries her best to keep her children happy

Adam's little sister Bea- is energetic she cares for brother she's always full of energy

Theme

We think the theme is perseverance, disaster and survival. We say that because Adam was running through bullets to get to his dad and family. He also had to see martin with a stick in chest and saw his dads ship sink in front of him. Adam was grazed with a bullet, and the boat was on top of im for a little and was drowning him. But, at the end he survived and lost his dad, but he is with his sister and mom.

After when they fixed Adams bike Davi Invited him to see his room since the paint had to dry on the bike. While Adam was in Davi's, Davi invited Adam to go fishing the next morning and he said yes. They were going to go fishing at 6:00 in the morning he said no later. When he got home later his dad got mad at him for being late and Adam explained that he was late because his bike broke down and his friend Davi had helped him. After when Adam said that his dad asked what race what Davi? And Adam said he was a Jap... and his dad got mad and told him not to talk to him anymore but Adam did not listen and still went fishing with him the next day. A few minutes after they were on the boat the bombing has started.
