         <description><![CDATA[<div>70% of China’s water is too polluted to use due to the fast fashion industry.<br>500,000,000 which is ( ⅔ of the rural population) use contaminated water for everyday activities. 2.5 billion tons of waste water not properly treated and contains chemicals that should not be used or ingested. China produces 300 million jeans per year ⅓ of the world's supply. One pair of Jeans uses 920 gallons 400 megajoules of energy of water 32 kilograms of carbon dioxide. China also has unusually high rates of cancers mainly (intestinal and liver cancers) The chemicals in the river and powerful enough to even go as far as change the gender of fish. Negative externalities. Furthermore because China supplies to so many countries. Another problem is that industrialisation is taking place at a rate that is not sustainable and the country is struggling to support.</div>]]></description>
