As the naturalised Citizens are basically foreign talent whom might have hidden agendas from their own government. Also, some issues may be sensitive to them such as the issues of to many foreign workers in our country.
These people also may not have the required knowledge and local culture to know how to deal with the people of Singapore. Thus, I think Naturalised Citizens should not be allowed to run for presidency.

However, they could produce good ideas from the way people do things in their own homeland and port over the skills and aid the country.

Naturalisation is the legal act or process by which a non-citizen in a country may acquire citizenship or nationality of that country. Naturalised citizens may also have put in a lot of time and effort into the country to be able to get a citizenship. Therefore, they should be allowed to run for presidency as it will be more fair for the people who are loyal to the country and have contributed to the country.

No. As allowing a "non Singaporean" citizen to have the highest authority and to run the country may be dangerous. As they were not born and raised in Singapore, their feeling and motivation to run Singapore well may not be as strong as Singaporeans and they may end up betraying the country as well. Citizens of Singapore may also feel betrayed and worried if a non-Singaporean citizen is running the country and other countries may also start to lose trust in Singapore

I disagree that naturalised citizenship should be allowed to run for presidency.
Although these people live in Singapore for quite a long time and call themselves citizens of Singapore, their place of birth is not in Singapore.
If our president is a naturalised citizen, it will only encourage immigrants to migrate to Singapore and live there and become citizens of Singapore. Instead, we should have a president who is born and raised in Singapore as our role model to represent our country.
Therefore naturalised citizens should not be allowed to run for presidency.

There is a few fees, totalling $180 per person that is involved to become a naturalized citizen, and natural-born citizens never have to pay that much, but the money is a lot. Overall, the requirements to become naturalized are pretty hard, and when you take the oath, you pledge your loyalty to Singapore before pledging to any other country.
With this, the citizen is already helping the country in the growth.

Being a president means to lead the country and having someone who did not originate from the country is extremely unsettling.
There must be standards set for being the president and it can't be anyone who only obtained citizenship by spending time here. If they did become president however, there might be issues there are conflicts between countries, especially if the conflict occurs between his home country and his birth country.
