Social workers work with people of all ages including babies and intervene in their life's primarily to make them better in the long-term.
Social workers have to be strong willed as they have to make life changing decisions about peoples e.g. taking a new born baby from an unfit mother and placing it in the care system or intervening in a married couples life as they have an abusive partner.

An ambulance care assistant are vital in the NHS as they are able to transfer emergency and non emergency cases to and from hospital. 
They work closely with paramedics however they cant administer drugs but can provide a caring role to the patient offering them support.
