         <title>Colonial News</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The first printing press arrived in Massachusetts as an auxiliary enterprise of Harvard College in 1638. At first, the press was just used to print material for the school, however, it soon expanded to printing various types of materials for the community. The<em> Boston News-Letter </em>was the first newspaper and was introduced in 1704; for seventeen years it was the only newspaper available in the colony.          <description><![CDATA[<p>With the rise in popularity of newspapers came the rise in the prices and soon newspapers were only affordable to the higher elite classes and the working class could not afford them. However, this quickly came with the introduction of the Penny Press.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Yellow Journalism was introduced in the late 19th century as a way for rivaling newspapers to increase the appeal and attraction of their newspaper. Yellow Journalism was depicted by catching headlines, intense illustrations, and sometimes incorrect or misleading stories.          <description><![CDATA[<p>With the advancements in technology in the digital age, modern journalism has become more accessible, impacting, and widespread than it ever has before. Writers can reach audiences across the world that they never would have been able to without technology. However, with how easy it is for anyone to publish opinions, it can be hard to determine if a writer or piece of information is accurate and unbiased.
