I wonder where my life will take me in every aspect.

I hear, “I love you Mrs. Singletary” from each of my students throughout my workday.

I see my lovely childhood home becoming my vision versus my parents.

I want to be an affectionate wife to my husband and aspire to be a loving mother one day to my children.

I am intuitively creative and passionate.

I pretend that I don’t want big, meaningful tattoos.

I feel like I can communicate with spirits of loved ones who are no longer with me.

I touch the scaly wings of my dragon that takes me on adventures in the air.

I worry that I’m not good enough for anyone, even when they reassure me I am.

I cry over the rare cancer that took my father away from me; the cancer that also took out the rest of his family line. Am I next?

I am intuitively creative and passionate.

I understand that I was put on this Earth for a purpose.

I say let go, let God.

I dream that one day teachers will be recognized for all of the hats they wear (therapist, nurse, coordinator, etc.) and that they wouldn’t be responsible for creating sub plans when they are bedridden with a sickness they more than likely caught from one of their students.

I try to mend the frayed, brittle ends of the thin ropes tying me and my sisters’ bonds together after the one thing holding us together was suddenly taken away.

I hope that I will create a family of my own one day that understands productive struggle, but will hopefully not understand some of the emotional struggles and loss I’ve faced as I was growing up.
