         <description><![CDATA[<p>Focus is on ARH201: Art of Asia online course, which she teaches in the fall during week 5. Challenges of teaching an art history class is conveying scale,  2-dimensional experience that detracts from the actual monuments and the spiritual essence. Considers looking at the Great Stupa to look at the different architectural and spiritual dimensions so that students see, do, and feel to understand how intentional the space is and the design of the building and function of the space. Assessment is a reflective synthesis journal to emphasize critical thinking and cultural analysis over technical proficiency. Rubric would look at architectural understanding, cultural context, and critical reflection. Looking at Google Arts &amp; Culture's 360 degree tour of the Great Stupa at Sanchi. </p>]]></description>
