It is programmed on the WELLBY method that economists and public bodies, including HM Treasury, use to quantify wellbeing gains. It translates changes in life satisfaction into a monetary value.

What’s a WELLBY?

A WELLBY (Well-Being Year) is a 1-point improvement on the 0–10 life satisfaction scale sustained for one year. If a person’s life satisfaction rises from 5 to 6 and stays there, that’s one WELLBY.

What do you need to do?

1. Visit the link.

2. State the cost of the project

3. State how many participants

4. Enter the average wellbeing score of the participants as to how they felt before the project started on a scale of 0-10.

5. Enter the average wellbeing score of the participants as to as to how the felt after the intervention on a scale of 0-10.

6. Press “submit” to receive your SROI score and how much social value you have generated for each £1 that the project cost.
