This article can result with many misconceptions. It talks about defining and categorizing aspects of the earth. Examples include the difference between forests and deserts. A misconception could be a student not understanding the difference between the two categories such as confusing a forest for a desert. Other misconceptions could be not understanding the different continents around the world.

First, I would read the article with the class and have the students highlight important information. Then after a group discussion, I would break the students into teams. Each team would have to create a poster using one part of the article. One example is forest. The students then could display their work and the class would then reflect on the important factors learned on each poster.
