Tony Leach & Ellie Lewis (2013) Children’s experiences during circle-time: a call for research-informed debate, Pastoral Care in Education, 31:1, 43-52, DOI: 10.1080/02643944.2012.702781 - argues that Circle Time needs really careful handling because it can be a negative experience for children, the narrative can be controlled by the adults, and the children can feel exposed/pressured into sharing private emotions. Good to contrast this with people like Mosley who are big advocates of Circle Time!

https://www.sdqinfo.com/a0.html ← I'm thinking of using this Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, which allows you to rank the emotional S/Ds and of indiviudal children. It also gives advice for scoring it. Could do this assessment on a group of target children at the start and end of the intervention as a way of measuring their capacity to self-regulate their emotions?
