When I look at how Bailey uses words in this song it really shows me how he shows how he feels through the things he says and gives a sense of him being heartbroken and wanting her back. In the first line which he says, "heard you moved out to South Carolina like you said we always would". This shows me that she moved away from him and left him and that's a place they had talked about living together eventually. In the next lyrics he says "I'm glad the stop sign didn't hit you" which he is referring to a metaphor because a stop sign can't hit you, but he was trying to represent her not leaving him. When he says "left the hood in a old 4runner" it shows that she is unappreciative for him because he bought that car for her and left him for a rich man.

moving on to another phrase that stook out to me was another metaphor that says "I heard you found yourself a brand-new man put a rock on your ringer and vowed you a second chance" he didn't actually put a rock on her finger but he the rock is representing the ring. When bailey uses his famous line for this song which is "you don't want to fall in love" i can see that he repeats this because this is the message he wants to get out to the people and his ex that left him, and he doesn't understand why she moved on a didn't fall in love with him.

Overall, Bailey is effective in both the video and lyrics. He gives his statement that he wants to fall in love in both of those too and tells the exact message.
