Craig was a man of remarkable intellect — always the brightest mind in the room. Even in the most difficult moments, he remained headstrong, hopeful, and deeply devoted to those he loved. His love for his three sons and our family gave him strength beyond what seemed humanly possible. He fought for them; he lived for them; and through it all, he showed us the power of love and never giving up.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace in knowing that his spirit lives on — in every memory we hold and in the lives of the boys he adores so deeply.

We will carry his legacy forward, always remembering the extraordinary person he was — our inspiration, our fighter.

I am so sad to hear of your passing.

Thank you, thank you for all the unforgettable memories, from the sandy days on the golf course to the sandy days on the beach in plett. Thank you for staying with my father through thick and thin, and thank you for being a role model of strength and fearlessness to him, even in your final moments. Thank you for always being the ‘cool uncle’ that always allowed me to sleepover, those memories made at your house will never be forgotten. Thank you for giving me the three best cousins, or how I would like to put it, the three best brothers, who are the strongest, kindest, and most trusting people I’ve met. Uncle Craig, you will be dearly missed but never forgotten, inspiring many to never give up no matter the obstacles ahead, like you said “We work the problems one by one. We do what’s in front of us and then we do the next thing…”

I also had the pleasure of seeing his family growing up on the many family holidays we shared all over the world. His fighting spirit, sense of adventure and insatiable curiosity lives on in all of them - and I know there is no-one prouder than he was of his boys.

My life is immeasurably better for having had Craig part of my life.

I still can’t believe you’re gone.

We met through our boys and quickly found ourselves sharing so many afternoons together — sitting on the sidelines, urging them on, celebrating every try, every boundary. Those moments were simple, but they meant everything.

I would give anything for just one more game beside you, one more day of laughter, of sharing in the pride we had for our sons.

You will always be part of those memories, part of the spirit that lives on in every match, every cheer.

One thing that was plain for the world to see was his unconditional and deep love for his three boys. That legacy will shine on through them.

We will always remember the tremendous effort Craig made to spend time with Krogfam in December and are grateful for the memories.

It’s a tragedy that he left too early. Rest easy Craig, the world is a little less interesting without you.

Our conversations would often begin with his excitement for his family, especially his three sons; whether it was proudly talking about their achievements or making sure he got the latest Newcastle jersey to share with them before we spoke about work!

His positive energy, sharp mind and deep devotion to his family left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

I feel truly blessed to have known Craig, to have shared in his laughter, his wisdom, and his strength.

After a courageous battle with cancer, he left us far too soon, but his spirit, love and lessons live on in all of us.

Our journey together through the study of Tehillim (Psalms) and Pirkei Avot (Ethics of the Fathers) over the past year has been both transformative and uplifting. Your unwavering dedication to daily Tehillim and spiritual growth has not only inspired me deeply, but has also left a meaningful impression on all those around you.

Your commitment to completing the entire Book of Tehillim multiple times is truly remarkable. Even more so, your thoughtful reflections and unwavering commitment to understand the Psalms revealed not only your scholarship, but a heartfelt connection to the spiritual world and emotional resonance of these sacred words.

You were especially inspired by King David, the author of Tehillim. Like him, you embodied a sincerity of heart, a quest for truth, and a soulful connection to G-d that shone through both your learning and your character. Your love, warmth, and extremely generous spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. Your kindness, warmth and caring for all humanity made the world a better place. 

I am deeply grateful for the friendship we shared and the spiritual learning we did together. I have no doubt that this sacred journey brought you closer to G-d, and it has certainly brought much light into my life as well.

Rest in peace my special friend, as your spiritual journey continues. We will all miss you deeply.
