Even though her husband doesn't pay much mind she is still passionate about her flower garden. This garden is her life in a way it may even be her family. In a sense the child she never had. She only wants someone to give her some form of attention. If Henry her husband would ask about her flowers she would be the happiest person in the world. The salesman that comes by the house made her happy when he asked about the flowers. After he gets some money from Elisa he becomes this money machine that can only think of business. He is a rather self absorbed character.
