This book is about the main character, Shy, who got a summer job on a cruise. An earthquake breaks out in California nearly killing everyone on the ship.

I really enjoyed reading this and it definitely became one of my favorite books. I really like this book because there’s never a boring moment. I was kept on the edge of my seat and intrigued throughout the story. I think that people who take pleasure in reading thriller books would really enjoy The Hunted.

I think Life As We Knew It by by Susan Beth Pfeffer has similarities to The Hunted. Although The Hunted is a more fast paced book, I see both main characters facing some of the same struggles. For example, the main character in Life as We Knew It, Miranda struggles to hold on to the feeling of hope as her and her family struggles to live through constant disasters thinking that nothing will get better and Shy, the main character in The Hunted, also struggles to have hope as he goes through what feels like a never ending journey.
