"How long before we save up and get the fourth wall torn out and a fourth wall-TV out in? It's only two thousand dollars. "That's one-third of my yearly pat." "It's only two thousand dollars," she replied. "And I should think you'd consider me sometimes" (Bradbury 18). Mildred values technology over her own relationship. She is willing to give up things in her life for more tech.

Mildred values materalistic items because of her loving her little seashells and being able to use them everyday. QUOTE: "And in her ears the little seashells, the thimble radios tamped tight, and an electronic ocean of sound, of music and talk and music and talk coming in, coming in on the shore of her unsleeping mind.

It is safe to say Mildred values feeling connected and having a part, so much so she neglects her real life and chooses the puzzle-piece-trimmed living of her online world, "The homemaker, that's me, is the missing part. When it comes time for the missing lines, they all look at me out of the three walls and I say the lines" (Bradbury, 17). Mildred attempts to feel relied on yet still in realistic boundaries, that's why in her fantasy world she pays for the role of the homemaker. The missing part they look to her for is simple but just enough to connect her with the other characters.

Kourtney Troha
"How longg you figure before we save up and get the fourth wall torn out and a fourth wall-TV put in?'
'It's only two thousand dollars. That's one-third of my yearly pay.'
'It's only two thousand dollars, she said. 'And I should think you'd consider me sometimes" (Bradbury 18)
This quote represents Mildred very well. It explains a lot about her such as what type of person she is and what her values are. One of her values is most definitely herself, because she is careless to Montag's point of view and voice and is only worried about what she wants. Also, Mildred ignores what is really going on in her life, and keeps herself occupied through technology and wanting materialistic things versus not worrying about the problems, and people and not dealing with the things she should be worrying about and focusing on in her life. She also values items and wealth. You can tell she very much bases her happiness and ways of life on material items and specific things & objects. Mildred is self-centered, and apathetic to others as well as her life.

His wife on the bed, uncovered and cold, like a body displayed on the lid of a tomb, her eye fixed to the ceiling by invisible threads of steal, immovable. And in her ears the little Seashells"
(Bradbury 10) This shows that Mildred is boring amd bland and doesn't do much at home but just stare at the ceiling.

I'll be even more fun when we can afford to have the fourth wall installed. how long you figure before we save up and get the fourth wall torn out and a fourth wall-TV put in? Its only two thousand dollars.' (Bradbury, 18) Mildred values is greedy and selfish Because she only cares about what she gets and if she doesn't get it she thinks no one love her and then would cause her to attempt suicide but she doesn't realize montage has always been there for her

" What about last night? What? Did we have a wild party or something? Feel like I've got a hangover. God, I'm hungry. Who was here?" (Bradbury 16) Mildred values moving on and leaving things in the past. After she committed suicide she pretended that it didn't happen. She thinks whatever happened yesterday should be forgotten and move on with their life.
