         <description><![CDATA[<p>Martin Luther  was a German Monk and a professor. In 1517 he started Protestant Reformation by challenging the Catholic Church. This was a religious reform movement that impacted Europe through out the 1500s.  </p><p>His reformation was to correct the practices as well as the doctrine of the Catholic Church and he initiated this movement by publicizing his 95 theses agonist the indulgences.   </p><p>Martin Luther's actions and words reformulated those of the Christian belief and because of this, the Reformation shaped human freedom and continues to influence the world today. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>John Calvin was a French priest &amp; lawyer.  He established his first community in Geneva, Switzerland. Calvin also created additional impact with his religious teachings and beliefs such as the Protestant faith, which include;  Baptist, Anabaptist, Puritan, Presbyterian, and Congregationalist. The Protestant Reformation started in Germany by Martin Luther and due to John Calvin impact, this reformation expanded into France. He was an influencer and he emphasized God's power .<br><br><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Religious and political freedoms came at a high cost for Northern Europe, resulting in The Thirty Year's War. This war was a conflict between Catholics and Protestants. This was a major religious war that happened in Europe and it's impact put an end to the violence, but cost Germany approximately 40% of its population. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Peace of Augsburg occurred in 1555 CE. This is when Emperor Charles V ordered that all German princes are to gather in Augsburg. The princes' also agreed that religion of each state would have to be decide by its rulers. The impact of this event caused Germany to be divided even further.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Bible and the Church was to defined religious authority.  Reformers was based on their faith from the supreme of the Bible. They impact the importance of the Scripture alone. It was the writing of the Bible that was not given to a totally new approach in which it was read.</p><p><br/></p><p>John Calvin believe in Predestination and Martin Luther believe in salvation through faith along. These findings disagreed with some of the Church's teachings and practices. </p><p><br/></p><p>The effect was the translations of the Bible into German, French, English and other languages.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>There was human capital and economic development differences among the Protestant and the Catholics. Many improvements were made in literacy and education that lead to increase entrepreneurships, to increase labor productivity, and to increase competition amongst businesses. </p><p>Merchant's disagreed with the Church's views and therefore, left the church, which led to those people not having to pay taxes to the church. </p>]]></description>
