He missed the train and He finally arrived at Hogwarts thanks to the flying Ford Anglia;but,as Dobby the house elf had told him,there was a plot to make the most terrible things happen this year. In fact people,cats and ghosts are found petrified and professors couldn't explain who was the guilty. These horrible things started happening when Harry and his friends found a writing on the wall saying: "The Chamber of Secrets has been opened.Enemies of the heir beware." Hermione found out that the chamber of secrets was built by Salazar Slytherin,one of the founders of the school and it could only be opened by his heir. The chamber contained a monster which,once released,would purge the school of all muggle-borns.Harry,thanks to his abilities,found the chamber and there he finds Ginny lying on the ground,pale and cold. Then he also saw Tom Riddle,the owner of a strange diary which Harry had found wet in girls' bathroom. He explained that his presence in the present was due to the fact that he was a memory,which had been preserved in his own diary for 50 years. He also revealed what happened: Riddle is the one who had opened the chamber 50 years ago and he was the true heir of Slytherin. The diary with his memory ended up with Ginny who confessed her fears,hopes and feelings to him. Thanks to Ginny he become more powerful possessing her and using her body for his plans. (she wrote the writing and she opened the chamber controlled by him). It was my childhood and it's still a part of my life. When I was a child I liked this book a lot because it was full of mystery and everytime I read it I felt even more scared. Spiders,basilisk and voices...are you sure is this a book for children? I have my doubts. I enjoyed the story about Salazar Slytherin but I couldn't explain why he wanted to purge the school of muggle-borns. They are wizards like the other ones!
