Which the name suits him, as he is a person who strikes fierce and walks swiftly. Also,  in the 1968 movie, Tybalt states that he hates peace. I am @CityOfVerona and  I just found "Comedic" Mercutio while looking for my man, Romeo. #UncomedicMercutio

Tybalt would say this because he is not a fan of Mercutio's jokes. Plus, Tybalt did find Mercutio sitting in a public fountain while washing himself. "Gentlemen, good den: a word with one of you."(Act 3 scene 1) Tybalt ignores the fact that Mercutio is sitting in a fountain, but Tybalt probably expected that from Mercutio either way.

"Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee Doth much excuse the appertaining rage. . ."(Act 3, Scene 1) Romeo says he has no need to fight Tybalt, now that Tybalt is Romeo's family since Romeo married Tybalt's younger cousin. But since the marriage was a secret, Tybalt doesn't know of such things, so he has no clue of what Romeo is talking about.

"I am hurt. A plague o' both your houses! I am sped." (Act 3 scene 1) Tybalt ends up stabbing Mercutio under Romeo's arm, seeing that his rapier drew blood, and flees. Nobody believes Mercutio of his wound, since they know he is a comedic person, until he dies moments later. Which, in turn, calls for Romeo to "activate" his "Raging Pacifist" mode.

"This, by his voice, should be a Montague. Fetch me my rapier, boy."(Act 1 Scene 4) Tybalt is infuriated at the sight of Romeo sneaking into Tybalt's Family's party. Since of Tybalt's hate for all Montagues, he instantly wants to duel with Romeo. Seemingly not caring about the party goers at all.
