Primary: This ad is targeting people who fear that America is falling behind to other countries, with China being the main one.

Primary: The main message of this ad is that Joe Biden was at the forefront of legislation and trade deals with China that sent large numbers of jobs overseas for the last few decades. This ad was created by a Pro-Trump group, and likely is a response to Biden ads in which he claims he will bring jobs back to America.
Secondary: A secondary message in this ad is that Biden is inherently bad for America, promoting Trump without mentioning his name.

The purpose of this media is persuade potential voters to vote for Donald Trump in the upcoming election. By posing Biden as bad for America, Trump is supposed to be good for America. By attempting to frighten voters at the growth of China, a vote for Biden is portrayed as a vote for China.

The ad features light, steady and ominous sounding accoustic music. This sets the tone that the ad is serious.
The ad also uses edited, pixelated clips of Biden proclaiming his good wishes for China and their growth. The clips highlights quotes of Biden and are done in an almost arhcival way, as to take us through the history of Biden.
The ad ends with a clip of Biden toasting with an assumed Chinese government official and Hillary Clinton. To those who support Trump, Hillary Clinton has a negative connotation and would dissuade viewers from Biden on this relationship alone.

The overall tone of this piece is of caution and fear of Joe Biden and whar he could do as President. By assessing the history of his relationship with China and their interests, the ad creates a negative view of Joe Biden, consequently making his competitor, Donald Trump, look like the superior option as President.

Summary

Important to note, this ad was not produced by Donald Trump's campaign team, but rather an independent Pro-Trump organization. This ad does a good job of creating caution in relation to Biden, although it didn't provide sufficient evidence as to WHY the viewer should fear this. Perhaps providing statistics on how many jobs have been outsourced outside the country through deals and legislation that Biden helped to pass would be a more effective way of dissuading viewers from Biden. However, this ad is likely intended for those who are relatively neutral and could swing either way come election day. For these people, any pre-existing anxieties they may have had about Joe Biden would likely be exacerbated.
