Hi everyone :) My name is Sonia Smith! 

I am married to my middle school sweetheart and we are proud parents of a cat named Princess, no children yet! My husband and I were born and raised in Los Angeles CA. Due to my husband being active duty with the Navy we moved Jacksonville, FL in December 2017. I have traveled most of my 25 years of living but never thought I would end up living somewhere else other than Cali. This is my first move since his return from Japan, in which he did 2 years out there. But now are getting ready to say goodbye to Florida in July and heading back to Cali so we can do 3 years shore duty. We are excited to come back home to family and friends and maybe start a family of our own.

I am thrilled to be almost finished in about year! POC has been nothing but GREAT to me. I have actually work on campus as a student worker and also had the chance to work PO Child School with the infant and toddlers. 

I have work in ECE field since 2013. I am currently a Preschool teacher at a private Christan school. I have only seemed to work in private Catholic school setting or private Christian school settings. Each year I teach I fall more in love and believe that I am here to make a difference.

My future goals are to have at least 5 more years of teaching and move to admin. I believe a school is only as good as the there admin, teachers, parents, and students! You have to have a strong lead in order for people to follow and it starts with the administration.

I just did a recent trip to Rincon Puerto Rico and it was amazing! The culture was amazing and the locals were great! I have not been out the country yet but do plan on before my husband and I have kids.
