Someways that it keeps you protected are when you have a test and you fell nervous that you'll fail it, anxiety it pushes you to study for the test. Another way anxiety helps you is you don't end up killing yourself because you made a really stupid decision like falling off a cliff and leaving your family to pay for your funeral.

Anxiety has positive and negative effects. I'm going to list some of the positive effects. First, it can cause the fight-or-flight reaction. This reaction comes from anxiety! Your brain sends messages through out the body to tell you to run or fight back. Second, it can help you make great decisions. For example if you are afraid of heights fear or anxiety can keep you from falling off a cliff. Another example happens to many, many, many people especially people in school. (Any type of school like college, grade school, middle school, etc.) They have fears of failing a test! Told you it happens a lot, very common. Anyway anxiety can make you worry about failing the test so you'll just be prepared by studying. Those are some of the positive effects of anxiety. Remember too much is bad for you!

A positive effect anxiety can play is when you are afraid of something anxiety can prevent you from getting hurt or prevent you from doing something bad. Another positive effect anxiety plays is that when you are in trouble our brain tell you to either fight back or run away. If you fight back or run away that could help you get out of a troublesome situation. Another positive effect anxiety plays is that if you ever have to perform or talk to a group of people anxiety can force you to practice talking in the mirror to help you become prepared.
