We shut it out in order to reserve our internal comfort and our exterior safety. If I saw a giant monster gripping my mom, I&#39;d fight with no hesitation because he&#39;s something unfamiliar and scary. I don&#39;t blame the DeLacys for how they reacted, it&#39;s an unconscious value of society to protect ourselves from what is feared.</title>
