I worked at a Community Health Centre for my Comm Serve year and though I found it stressful and quite draining I really learnt a lot there. I started seeing what it meant to be to analyse the broader picture and to see that just trying to push through a queue of patients as quickly as possible (because there were so many) but while trying to give each patient the best care possible would be impossible to maintain and not make nearly as much difference as addressing wider issues related to healthcare.
