I feel where Walter is coming from every time, but at the same time I think he over reacts to things. I think e is a great person and he tries to be good at every particular role he has. He wants the best for his family, that's why he wants to at least be his own boss. Also, he wants be the man of the house and provide for his family and give them a better life with a better future.

The colors used in this picture represents some of Walter traits. Orange symbolize determination and Walter is very determined on what he wants. Also, the color gray is used in this image and it represents the trait indecisive and Walter is very indecisive when it comes to making decisions. This image shows an optimistic person just like Walter, always hoping for the best and wanting a brighter future for his family.

Post 5 Poem

"I may not triumph in success,
Despite my earnest labor;
I may not grasp results that bless
The efforts of my neighbor;
But though my goal I never see
This thought shall always dwell with me—
I will be worthy of it."
by Ella Wheeler Wilcox

This poem fits perfectly for Walter for several reasons. One reason, in line 5 Wheeler says something about not reaching his goals and sometime Walter thought of this way. But, he never gives up and always keeps trying to reach his goal or at least he will tell his kids that he fought for his goals to come true but they didn't. Finally, this poem relates to Walter because it kind of talks about failure and Walter tends to fail a lot on some of the things he tries to do with life.

I feel like this song fits perfectly to Walter because he is having problems is his relationship with Ruth. And this song talks about love and how you have to appreciate what you have before is gone. At the end, he had a lot of problems with Ruth because he wasn't there for her, he was always drunk and was not there for her child. Also, the song talks about when you fail in life and Walter's life has been a failure until this point. But he never stops dreaming and never stops having a positive mindset of having a better life and a better future.

Dream & Reality

“Mama, a job? I open and close car doors all day long. I drive a man around in his limousine and I say, ‘Yes, sir; no, sir; very good, sir; shall I take the Drive, sir?’ Mama, that ain’t no kind of job… that ain’t nothing at all.” (P. 73)

Walter is very optimistic and he sometimes dreams about a better life. This quote describes the theme above because what Walter is talking about is the reality he lives. He tells his mother the reality, his job and how he doesn't like it. That tells us that he wished he had a better life or at least a better job. Finally, he just wants to have a better life and a better future for his family.
