Julio
was the man in the book that murdered Black Benji. Benji was an idle to many and helped promote the idea of peace in Bronx. After he killed Black Benji in cold blood other Benji had the opportunity to get his revenge on Julio. Instead he knew what Black Benji would want and let the man go without a scratch. That is the true value of peace and how people should treat others.

Cornell Benjamin also known as Black Benjy was a gang member and vice leader of the Ghetto Brothers. He was like Yellow Benjamin because they both wanted their to be piece and unity between the gang in the Bronx. He and Benjy started to plan an event to bring all the gangs together and that lead to his death, but when he was alive, he believed that the Bronx gangs were fighting against each other when they should have united and fought the against the white government officials who were keeping them in the same situation. Poor and oppressed.

“Listen brother’s need to talk peace, I come in peace…. Peace of shit… “

In the this quote black Benji is trying to make peace with the other gangs. The ghetto brothers have had too much violence they are a ready for a change. When Benji says “i come in peace” he is beaten to death by a gang member. This is turning point because this is when Puerto Rican Benji the leader tried even harder to make peace.

“Your not going to do anything. Benji died for peace if we take revenge we will be declaring war”

In this quote members of the Ghetto Brothers have found black Benji’s killer. Puerto Rican Benji walks in and sees that one of his members has a gun in the killers mouth. Benji explains what will happen if he kills him. The member lets him go with disgust. This quote is important because it shows the beginning of peace. among the gangs

My personal connection is when my older cousin was making fun of the way my sister was talking or playing, something. It was kind of annoying, the way he was teasing her. So I told my cousin to back off or he would get out of my room, and I wouldn't care how. So after that he kind of backed off and left my sister alone. But he was kind of in a bad mood after that. But I really don't like when someone iks picking on my family. It just ticks me off.

My personal connection was when I stood up for someone that could not do it for themselves. My younger cousin was playing in the park and some older boys came over to him and started to pick on him because he was a little but smaller than everyone. I just came out of the bathroom and and it seemed as if the boys had just been waiting for me to leave my cousin vulnerable. I dashed over to them and confronted them and asked if they would do this if their parents were their and they all said no. So instead if kicking their asses. I just gave them something to always think about. I told them, what would you do if you were in my cousins shoes, and they all said that they would not be able to do anything since they would be defenseless and I left them on something to chew on.

She was mad because he took some of her clothes to give to his friend. She did not understand why he did this so she was yelling very loudly.
