<title>1. About amazon rainforest The Amazon rainforest, alternatively, the Amazon jungle or Amazonia, is a moist broadleaf tropical rainforest in the Amazon biome that covers most of the Amazon basin of South America. This basin encompasses 7,000,000 km2 (2,700,000 sq mi), of which 5,500,000 km2 (2,100,000 sq mi) are covered by the rainforest. This region includes territory belonging to nine nations and 3,344 formally acknowledged indigenous territories.Amazonian evergreen forests account for about 10% of the world&#39;s terrestrial primary productivity and 10% of the carbon stores in ecosystems </title>

<title>2. About greenhouse gas emissions Greenhouse gas emissions are greenhouse gases vented to the Earth&#39;s atmosphere because of humans: the greenhouse effect of their 50 billion tons a year causes climate change. Most is carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels: coal, oil, and natural gas.</title>

<title>3. Causes of green gas emission on amazon rainforest Industrial Processes Transportations fuels Land use and biomass burning Agricultural production Electric power stations Waste disposal and treatment Residential commercial &amp; other sources Fossil fuel retrieval processing and distribution This causes harmful gasses like Carbon dioxide, Methane and Nitrous Oxide to be released resulting in degradation of amazon rainforest in the long run.</title>

<title>4. Current status of the rainforest The current status of the amazon rainforest is that the Amazon for the first time emitted more greenhouse gases than it absorbed in the year 2021. This indicates that the rainforest could be threatened through the 21st century by climate change in addition to deforestation. One of the effect of greenhouse gas emission is that the lost forest cover can also change patterns of rainfall and make the rest of the forest hotter and drier, which also tends to increase greenhouse gas emissions</title>

<title>5. Effects on the biodiversity The main threats facing biodiversity globally are: destruction, degradation and fragmentation of habitats. reduction of individual survival and reproductive rates through exploitation, pollution overall resulting in degradation of air quality affecting the plants and animals living there. </title>

<title>6. Adverse effects on the Human population Humans impact the physical environment in many ways: overpopulation resulting from loss of habitat, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water. These negative impacts can affect human behaviour and can prompt mass migrations or battles over clean water. </title>

<title>7. Measures to be taken to save the amazon forest Reduce paper and wood consumption Reduce oil consumption or looking at cleaner forms of fuel Reduce beef consumption Hold businesses accountable for deforestation by introducing measures for afforestation to sustain biodiversity and air quality. Invest in rainforest communities Support the grassroots Eco tourism to spread awareness about the ill effects of green gas emission on the biodiversity.</title>
